The students put their problem solving skills to the test! They first used the process of Design Thinking to redesign each other's school lunch experience. This heavily focused on listening to their partner's needs. With their new knowledge they took time to create a solution that addressed their partners needs and presented this in a prototype.
Day 2 we had a visit from a local entrepreneur, Mr. Patterson. He chatted with the students about what it's like to be an entrepreneur. In addition to sharing his story, he also shared a business problem he is currently having with his cleaning business. Students will have the next week to create a solution and develop a pitch to present to Mr. Patterson on the last day of program. However, the first step of solving any problem is asking a lot of questions, which is what the students did!
